A zip line is a steel cable strung from a mountaintop to a landing zone below. Riders are strapped into a seat a bit like a small ski lift. A ride of a hundred yards or meters is a blast. A ride more than a mile / 1800 meters long, like this, is amazing.

High Ground's zip line starts at 5,400 feet / 1650 meters and has a drop of 2,000 feet / 600 meters. Riders reach speeds over 60 miles / 100 km per hour on the ride.
