These two great ultra operate Pokhara, hub for Annapurna region treks. (New areas are being developed and licensed too.) If your visit has you in Pokhara for a free morning or day, do one or both of these for a true bird's-eye view of the mountains.

Hang gliding is motorless, just the wind in your ears, sailing like a hawk in the air currents caused by the great mountains. You will be tandem-strapped with a professional pilot and have full safety gear, including a helmet. Beginner's courses for three days and up can lead to solo flight.

Options from 20 minutes to an hour or more are possible. Book hang gliding through us or directly here.

Ultralight Flights are in tiny aircraft with a V-shaped wing suspended above a two-seat cabin. The engine is mounted behind you and the pilot. Ultralight aircraft are registered with the civil aviation authority, just like larger planes.

Options range from 15 to 90 minutes at prices starting from US$80.
